The Keswick Falcons stormed their way to a dominant win in Women's Championship North 2 with a victory that was never in doubt from the first fifteen minutes when Katie Jackson crashed over for two tries and then Abbie Burton used her speed and agility to add two more tries, with the in form Liz Ravalde adding three conversions for 26-0. The Novocastrians did then get back into the game with a ten minute period of possession as they moved deep into the Keswick half and put pressure on on the Keswick try line, but Keswick defended and defended well, with captain Kate Stanton, vice captain Ruth Barnes, Aimee Hogarth and forward of the match Emily Grave outstanding, and with the Falcons putting in some big tackles to stifle the visitor's progress. With Burton then going over for her hat trick of tries with an uncatchable sprint up the left wing on the half hour, the Falcons were back in the driving seat, and further extended their lead before the break with a superb try from Bethan Lloyd who picked up a remarkable offload from Burton as Keswick surged forwards in an unstoppable wave which saw Lloyd cruise in to score, and then a debut home try from the outstanding Josie Scrimgour who twisted her way through the Novocastrian line from short range to dot down. With two more Ravalde conversions it was 45-0 at the half time.
The second half was more of the same with Scrimgour opening the scoring, outpacing a pack of chasing defenders to dot down under the sticks with a try, swiftly followed by a Teagan Quigley try set up by Scrimgour. Back of the match Scrimgour then barrelled her way through for her hat trick try before Liz Ravalde joined in the fun and dotted down on the right wing. Bethan Lloyd then added her second try with another barnstorming run smashing straight through the visitor's defence, and Quigley added two more tries, both from powerful jinking runs up the left wing for her own hat trick of three second half tries. Lloyd then concluded the Falcons try feast as she powered through the visitor's line to touch down for her third try, cutting in from the right wing landing right under the sticks with her hat own trick,, one of four Falcon's hat tricks. With five more conversions from the opposition's Player of the Match Ravalde and one from Barnes, the final score line was 97-0 with a fantastic team performance from every single player with Keswick just too quick, too strong and too disciplined for their opponents.
