Thanks Wolly

Walter Good, our Steward at the Club since January 2011 and known to all as Wolly, has retired from his position. Prior to joining the Rugby Club Wolly was the Steward at the Keswick Conservative Club so already well known in the town, having originally moved here with his wife Jackie from the North East. He soon became very popular with the members and made many friends outside the Club, notably with the campers on the sites next door to Davidson Park, encouraging them to frequent the Clubhouse as if it was their own. He always remained calm, whether running out of glasses on a busy match day or finding a wasp nest in his been cellar. He was proud of his pint and that was always his top priority.

At his farewell drinks at the Club after the games on Saturday Wolly was presented with an engraved momento and also with a shirt complete with his initials. We’re grateful for the service he has given to the Club since joining us and we will miss his repartee. Thanks Wolly and best wishes for the future.
